So, an old HS friend who now lives in NYC with me was telling me how her good Wake friend just got this cool job at a new health start-up in the city. Of course, I was intrigued. She was explaining that its an all natural juice company, but they make packet blends that “supposedly” give you your dose of daily greens. I started seeing some ads for free samples, so I thought why the hell not try it out.
The company’s name is ALOHA. Here’s their spiel:
Each blend of Daily Good Greens shares the core ingredients and benefits of the Original. Low calories and full of fiber, ALOHA whole-food packets are geared for the following:
- Provides an energy boost
- Helps balance weight
- Support muscles & joints
- Cleanses, purifies, hydrates
- Strengthens immune system
- Promotes healthy digestion
- Has an alkalizing effect
- Improves and firms skin
ALOHA claims that you can literally put your packet in anything. Oatmeal, dips, soups, smoothies, even good ole’ H2O… When my package of six free samples arrived I got pretty excited (I did have to pay 4.85 for shipping). Mostly, I wanted to see what was in these suckers that made them such a small powerhouse of nutrients. I opened the box and went right for the ingredients list. I was amazed to say the least. Each flavor is truly jam-packed with all different nutrients. Although it’s not a great protein source. what it lacks in protein it makes up in vitamins and minerals. Each packet contains about 10,000 mg of different nutrient sources like spirulina, spinach, mushrooms, beets, wheatgrass, berries, etc…There’s legit sooooo many! The highest calorie pouch is 45 cals- not bad AT ALL. As for the daily percentage of vitamins…no need to take those pills if you have one of these a day ladies.
I would suggest getting the 6 free samples. It’s super easy, just go to the ALOHA website, sign-up, and ta-da! It’s that easy.
Another quick note: ALOHA also independently tests its ingredients above and beyond FDA required testing practices. It doesn’t contain any animal products, soy, corn syrup, peanuts, GMOs, dyes, colors, parabens, preservatives, artificial flavors, pesticides, or herbicides.
How did I use my first packet? By making a bomb-ass berry chocolate smoothie.
